Galveston 2012

It was time again for our now annual Galveston trip. We have Fort Bend County Fair Day off from school. Instead of sticking around here we head for Galveston after school on Thursday to spend a couple nights in a hotel on Seawall Blvd. Friday is always a full day. We head to the beach in the morning and spend a few hours relaxing and playing in the sand.

All we were missing here was the Corona for a perfect commercial re-enactment!

We headed back to the hotel and decided to clean off in the hotel pool. The kids enjoyed swimming while Jen and I enjoyed the swim up bar...

For dinner we headed to one of our favorite restaurants, Fish Tales, then headed across the street to enjoy the new Pleasure Pier. There are games, a bunch of rides, and live music to enjoy. The kids had fun in bumper cars, a two-story carousel, and a ride that raises you up then drops you suddenly.

After some Dip-n-Dots ice cream we headed back to the hotel. I wasn't sure if the kids or Jen were going to stay awake for the 3 minute car ride back! We were all exhausted, but it was a memorable day.
