Christmas Time!

As is tradition, Santa came early to our house. We celebrate Christmas early down here so the kids have a week to play with their new stuff before we leave for SD. We always email Santa each year to ask him to come early and he hasn't disappointed yet!

We started off with Santa's gifts. He stuffed their stockings with small gifts. The new stocking caps will come in handy for our trip north! He also surprised them with a telescope for them to share. They both asked for one. This one comes in a backpack so we will be able to take it camping and look at the stars as well. Well played Santa!

We of course had a techno-nerdy Christmas here. The kids each got a new iPod Touch. We then went on with tradition and had a scavenger hunt. This year, however, we used QR codes during the hunt. The kids used their Touches to scan the QR codes to lead them to the next location. Grandpa HeeHaw would be proud! Even Jen was sent on a QR scavenger hunt. They all had a blast.

We had no corncobs at the end of the hunt, unfortunately. The kids received gift cards they can use at Target to buy something on their own. Jen found a Keurig at the end of her journey.

Brayden is all about Backyard Safari equipment. He added to his collection with some tools, a telescope, a flashlight, and a shelter that you see him in above. We can't wait to go camping again so he can put it all to the test! It was a great day at the Wagner household.
