Our First Trip with the Our Camper

We bought ourselves a 1995 Flagstaff Cobra pop up camper a couple weeks ago. We have been kind of looking since we got back from our summer trip. We had so much fun we want to be able to go even more. With AC and heat, we should be able to camp comfortably year round. The canvas almost seems like new and the tires, wheels, and axle are all new.  We couldn't pass it up.

Last weekend we took it out for the first time for our annual October trip to Jellystone with the Cantus.

By the time we got there Friday we didn't have time to do much else before it got dark. The kids then went to a movie in the outdoor theater while we stayed at the campground.  We then settled in for our first night in the camper.

Saturday started out with Abby making us pancakes. We then spent the day at the pool and water slides.

Here you can see Jen and Julie working hard slaving over the fire cooking hotdogs.  Jen looks especially stressed and overworked.

The kids got some early trick-or-treating in at the campground. It also gives them a chance to try out their costumes. Brayden is Wolverine and Alayna is a vampiress. Abby did Alayna's makeup...she did a great job!

Sadly, it started raining about 2:30 Sunday morning and continued to rain until we finally gave in, packed up, and left around 9:30. We were walking around in water trying to pack everything up. Good news is the camper didn't leak at all.

We can't wait to take it out again and look forward to many memorable trips in the future!
