Spent the weekend with the Peterson family in Woonsocket for the 4th of July. Grandpa (Lindy) was Parade Marshall for the town celebration! He has retired after 40 years of teaching and they wanted to honor him for all he has done and is doing for the community. He is currently a city council member and at this time acting mayor for Woonsocket.
It was a great weekend of canoe races, swimming, games, and fireworks! Jen and I were even part of a 3 person mini-triathlon team with Jen's life-long friend Tracy. I swam, Jen biked, and Tracy ran. I didn't drown...that was a victory for me! I think everyone had a wonderful weekend.
