The kids made their goal of 30 books in 30 days so we made our way down to Galveston to spend the night and hit the beach! Here are Brayden and Alayna in the top bunk of the bunk beds that were located in our hotel room.
We had Friday off from school so we left Thursday after work. Here they are sitting on the balcony that is overlooking the Gulf of Mexico. We could walk across the street and be on the beach!
We went out to eat at Rainforest Cafe while we were there too. They had a great time looking at all the fish in the tanks. Epi and Julie brought the family down on Friday to join us on the beach. It was a beautiful day! We built sand castles, buried Alayna in the sand, even rode a wake board over the waves. We were sad to leave but glad we had the chance to make the trip.
